At 17-10-2009 the very first Machinima Artist Guild Award event was held in the virtual world of Second Life. Leading up to this event, 48 machinima's were submitted in 5 categories: ART, LOVE, NEWBIE, DRAMA, FUN. The guild members could vote for the 5 films per category that went to the grande finale, and after that the voting was public (in SL). The winners were presented.
