Virtual theatre performance
Film of a live theatre performance in Second Life a few weeks back. This is a one-avatar performance which in many ways feels more like an art installation, but theatre with multiple avatars is beginning to rival music in the world of SL entertainment these days.
Performing a Play in Second Life
It's a season from the archives, but this clip shows extracts from a play performed in Second Life. AngryBeth Shortbread was one of the residents behind the production from "Millions Of Us" and is show a great example to how theatre can be brought inworld effectively.

Jet Burns
Jet Burns, aka Charles P. White in real life. A 20-year veteran at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Jet uploaded a photo taken during today's shuttle launch onto the screen of Second Life. Jet says of this shot:
"During my time here, I have had three visitors to my office, and worked a few issues via email. This is a great technology allowing me to multitask these efforts without having to leave my office. I had a visitor take a picture of this event in RL so now you know that Jet Burns has more hair then I do. hehehe Skinnier too"

Virtual Galleries
Looking at this blog i sometimes think pictures from Second Life are a great art gallery. Infact, the real art is often to be found inworld. This scene is a shot from one of the better ones.

Jeff Tulley in Concert
Still on the music theme, one of our favourite performers is Jeff Tulley. This is a great picture of one of his concerts. He mostly plays cover versions of classic songs over the decades with a country=style voice and acoustic guitar. But the mood he creates is exemplary.

Summer Of Love
The grand entrance to the "Summer Of Love" festival at the audio SIM in Second Life. A fantastic weekend reliving the spirit of 1967 with many performers turning up to gig. A good few abandoned their normal sets to bring us covers of the best music from that era.
Special thanks to Chris Hambly for co-ordinating this great event and to the countless artists who turned out to play. 21st Century reality is a hard move today! LOL.
